After 9+ months with nothing in the front room, Troy & I have FINALLY agreed on furniture!

Howdy Pardner
My littlest buckaroo has always embraced dressing up. So, when it was "Howdy Day" at pre-school - he was all about dressing up like a cowboy. We actually had a costume from years ago when Nick was Woody one Halloween, so we dug it out of the attic. It fit just right, and a friend of mine actually had little cowboy boots that fit his tiny feet.As soon as he woke up, he wanted to put on his costume, and as soon as I let him, I had to start calling him Woody. He had a blast, he rode the horse, and didn't even want to take off the costume when he got home.

Great Grandma

I am lucky enough to live withing walking distance of both of my Grandmothers. One is in my ward, and Ashley will sit by her during sacrament meeting. It is nice for both of us, because Grandma LOVES Ashley - and I LOVE that Ashley isn't there bugging her brothers!!
My other Grandma is in the neighborhing ward, and we get to see her often as well. For a birthday, my grandma has got the timing down, where she will mail a birthday card (with a $5 bill inside), and it arrives ON THEIR BIRTHDAY! My kids are always so excited to check the mail for their card. This year, we invited her over for Jon's birthday dinner, so she brought the card with her. Jon was so excited to have his own "monies", and has BIG plans to go & spend it!

Nick's 1st Utah Game
Nick was a little not sure about going to the Football game on Saturday. He KNEW that he would have fun if he went to Aunt Amy's with Jon, but we told him that he needed to try it.I know this isn't the best picture, but it was so cute to see Nick holding Troy's hand, and asking him questions about the game.
He LOVED everything about it - Swoop coming out on a 4-wheeler, the players shaking the tunnel, watching all of the people dressed up (Elvis, the Pirate, etc), and of course the food (Hamburger, Churro & Ice Cream)
My favorite thing Nick said at the game was..."Look how many people are cheering for Utah!"

I am a dork
I went to go click on my Pioneer Woman link, and it took me to some website for home business and business woman website...WHAAT???? Then I realized I didn't type in the correct link for The Pioneer Woman website (Thanks to Macy for telling me about her a while back!)...it is correct now, and if you have never checked it out, you have to read her "Black Heels to Tractor Wheels" story, and check out her recipes, and everything else on her website...

Frustrated & Furnitureless
So...with Labor Day weekend, and all the SALES going on, Troy & I thought it would be a perfect time to go look at some furniture for our front room. It is going on 9 months that it has been empty, and we are getting sick of it.
However, Troy & I do NOT see eye to eye when it comes to furniture...

Troy either wants a "fancy" couch or a leather couch with the big round puffy arm rests, and brass nail accents...
I like simple lines, with fun colors and/or patterned pillows, etc.
Everything I liked, he thought was lame, or would say "Are you kidding?". He didn't even like my color choices. His stuff was just to "fancy" for me, and I didn't think it fit in with the style of our house, or the way we live our life. We may never have furniture in our house, because neither of us is about to give in...

Look-a-Like
We often hear that Troy looks like someone famous. We've had people say Jerry Seinfeld, Governor Huntsman, but Troy's family has always had someone else in mind...
