"Nick's Alive!!"

Jonathan got to talk to Nick on the phone last night, and as soon as he got off he ran to Ashley and said "Ash, Nick's Alive!!"

You may call me Madame President...

Yes, it is official...I have a new calling, and I am very excited about it...HOWEVER, for those of you who have been harrassing me about updating my blog - I am WORKING ON IT!! It has been one heck of a week. Getting this new Primary presidency up & running, and the new year/teachers has taken it's toll on me. I really am excited, and I LOVE primary. Hopefully I can get my act together.

To top if off, my vinyl business is going crazy! (Thanks to lots of referrals from all of you!!). I have a huge order for 500 sayings that are due at the end of this month. You should have seen me today. I was going from my vinyl machine, to my laptop, to the kitchen table to cut some things for primary, to the printer in my bedroom, & back & forth - who needs to go to the gym, when you can have your own workout circut in your own home!!

Also, my favorite child (just ask Ashley) is in Florida for 12 days. Troy's parents took Nick for his b-day. He left on Saturday morning, and won't be back until the 17th. It is strange to have him gone, it makes our family seem so small. Jon keeps telling people that Nick is dead, so I have to remind him that he is just on a trip.

Strange Christmas

This Christmas was a very interesting one. Every gift that the kids got, (from Santa, Grandparents, etc.), were spot on. It was great in that aspect. But Christmas night, when I usually have my big let down, because it's over, Troy & I were talking about how strange this Christmas was.

We were so focused on getting the house done, and Troy was working so hard to get it done, we didn't have time to enjoy the holiday. One of our favorite traditions, is to watch a Christmas movie each night (almost each night). Our favorites are Scrooged, Christmas Vacation, Muppet Christmas Carol, & Elf. We only got around to watching 1 together as a family. Another fun thing is to take the kids shopping for their siblings. This year it was me & the kids at Red Balloon. I would take them in 1 at a time, and let them pick their gifts. It was so rushed, it just wasn't fun this year.

I have to say, that I am so thankful that my house is done (mostly). The fun part comes next - I get to buy new furniture & decorate!! I can't wait for next year when we can enjoy the holidays even more!!

The Best View in the House!

There are many things that I love about the new part of the house, but by far, this is my favorite thing to see in the addition...Not because of the TV, but because I get to see my spouse sit down and enjoy the TV.

"Mom, Come Wrestle!"

I have heard this several times in the last 24 hours, from all three of my children. You would have thought they have never seen carpet before in their lives! Nick & Jonathan both slept in their new rooms last night. It was a little strange to kiss them goodnight, and then walk upstairs...

It's the Best Christmas Present EVER!!

It's finally here!! CARPET!!! Troy worked his tail off these last two weeks, and the day has come! Nick is so excited. He has been counting down the days until he can sleep in his room. I must admit, it's going to be a little weird to have those boys of mine downstairs!
